Charity: The Foster Care Charity
The Foster Care Charity (FCC) - formerly known as the Foster Care Co-operative – has been placing children in caring, supportive, family homes for 25 years – (since 1999). We provide short and long term fostering placements for children from birth to 17 years through our network of amazing foster carers across central and northern England. As an independent, Not-For-Profit foster care agency, we ensure that any surplus income is re-invested so we can provide more individual foster care support; recruit and train more foster carers; and help support the provision of stable, loving, home environments for more children. We are passionate about making a difference to children’s lives. We commit to providing the best possible fostering support to help them be happy and successful. Through our matching process, we take great care to match children with foster carers. There is no pressure to place children in order to maximise profit. We value our foster carers and their dedication to providing support that will change a child’s life. We are proud that our average child placement length is almost 3 years.
