Charity: Motor Neurone Disease Association (UK)

Motor Neurone Disease is a rapidly progressive and fatal disease that can affect any adult at any time. The cause is unknown and within an average life expectancy of just 14 months after diagnosis, everyday in the UK three people die of MND. MND leaves people unable to walk, talk or feed themselves. They still think and feel but their muscles refuse to work. The MND Association provides practical help, advice and support to people with MND and their families. We also fund vital research into cause, treatment and ultimately to find a cure. The MND Association is the only national charity fighting MND. We receive no government funding and depends entirely on donations and legacies to enable the Association to continue its work, that is so valuable to so many.
