FARM-Africa's goal is to reduce poverty by enabling marginal African farmers and herders to make sustainable improvements to their well being through more effective management of their renewable natural resources. It works in Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, South Africa and Uganda.
We are a rabbit rescue based in Hampton in Arden in the West Midlands. We give unwanted rabbits a safe place to recuperate, get them neutered and vaccinated before finding loving homes. Sadly not all rabbits are able to be re-homed so we offer them a permanent sanctuary place. These rabbits stay with us as part of the Fat Fluffs family and are cared for and loved for the rest of their days.
FCFCG supports, represents and promotes community-managed farms and gardens helping local people build closer, healthier communities.
Fibromyalgia Action UK is a registered charity run primarily by unpaid volunteers. The majority of volunteers are also fibromyalgia sufferers who work extremely hard, despite their condition, in order to forward the cause of fibromyalgia. FMA UK was established in order to provide information and support to sufferers and their families. In addition, the charity provides medical information for professionals and operates a national and benefits helpline.
Fields in Trust champions and supports our parks and green spaces by protecting them for people to enjoy in perpetuity. Because once lost, they are lost forever.
We are a registered charity working with local communities and businesses to highlight the impact of plastic pollution on our environment and to try to minimise the amount of plastic entering our local seas and wider oceans. We work with many different types of business on sustainability and to help them find ethical and sustainable alternatives to single-use plastic in their activities. We have a very busy school outreach programme and have reached thousands of children in the Solent area through assemblies and workshops. We work with community groups, giving talks and running activities and encouraging people to avoid single-use plastic and how to best dispose of it if they do need to use it. We run regular beach and community clean-ups. It is a great way to get back in touch with nature, with benefits that include the obvious clear-up of litter, meeting like-minded people, and getting some often well-needed headspace and connection with nature.
