Charities
We support seriously and terminally ill children in hospital and at home in the UK. Helping children and their families through one of the worst times of their lives in hospital - we provide entertainment equipment, games, sensory equipment, craft supplies and essential pain reducing medical equipment - whatever the children on the wards need to make it through each day. At Home - we enable children to leave hospital (around 15% of children with serious conditions are clinically able to leave but due to lack of support and/or funding they can't leave the ward) and then support the children and family once they are home. This increases the quality of care the child receives, reduces depression and isolation, hugely increases the family's ability to begin to heal and, with the child at home, frees up the bed for another child who urgently needs care.
We support anyone affected by Mental Illness including family, friends and carers. Need to talk? Our SANEline is open from 4pm-10pm daily on (0300) 304 7000. For full information on our emotional support services, ways to volunteer and other information visit our website at https://sane.org.uk.
We are the charity for East Surrey Hospital, and all the services provided by Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH). The Trust provides emergency and non-emergency services to the residents of east Surrey, north-east West Sussex, and South Croydon, including the major towns of Crawley, Horsham, Reigate and Redhill. East Surrey Hospital is a major acute hospital for east Surrey and north-east West Sussex, providing an Emergency department and acute services for the whole catchment area of the SASH NHS Trust, including Gatwick Airport – a total of more than half a million people. We raise funds to enable the Trust to go over and above NHS provision to make our local community’s experience even better when they visit their local hospital. Donations help us to provide state of the art equipment, improve the hospital environment, provide specialist training and to fund ideas which help create great experiences for patients and staff at the Trust. It is with the help of our generous supporters that we are able to make a real difference to the lives of patients and their families in Surrey and Sussex.
