We are mental health charity that supports young people between the ages of 11-25 with 1:1 counselling . The charity was founded after Charley took his own life at the age of 18. More recently, due to demand we have launched affordable counselling for 26+.
In Kind Direct, one of The Prince's Charities, re-distributes new goods donated by well-known manufacturers and retailers to voluntary organisations working at home and abroad. Since 1996 In Kind Direct has assisted over 5,000 charities, working with more than 750 donor businesses and funders.
Independent Age is a unique and growing charity, providing information, advice and support for thousands of older people across the UK, and the Republic of Ireland. Founded nearly 150 years ago, it recently meged with two other older people's charities, Counsel and Care, and Universal Beneficient Society, to provide a broader range of services, than any other of the charities could provide separately. Our advice and information service, offers expert independent, personalised information, by telephone and E-mail. Our advice includes a range of topics, including the needs assessment process, finding and paying for care, top-up fees, being discharged from hospital, NHS Continuing Healthcare Funding, how to access independent advocacy, benefits, making a complaint and challenging decisions. Our advice covers England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Independent Living Alternatives (ILA), was established in 1989 to prmote the right of disabled people to live independently. ILA provides a comprehensive range of personal assistance services to disabled people. This includes providing personal (care) assistants, advice, information and support on any issue related to personal assistance/independent living.
